It is a known fact that Disneyland can be very crowded. MouseWait is a fan-based, user-generated mobile app made to help park goers figure out how long wait times are for attractions and restaurants at Disneyland and California Adventure. The redesign is much more simplified to focus on what park goers really want, while still making it easy to navigate.
The two photos on the homepage are photos of Disneyland and California Adventure during the day. At night, they change into photos of the parks during the evening. Users can click directly onto each photo, which brings them to the list of wait times for the attractions and restaurants within the selected park. The app features maps of the parks so users know where they are at all times and they can see what attractions and restaurants are nearby. The lands of each park are color-coded to help the user recognize the separate lands within each theme park.
Users are able to see how long ride and restaurant wait times are so they can plan their trip accordingly and the most efficiently. The app also has a feature to let users set reminders so they can come back if they have a fast pass for a ride or made a reservation at a restaurant.
Along with reading short descriptions about rides and restaurants/kiosks, users can also change the wait times if the current time has changed. Because the app is user-generated, this provides accurate wait times for all the park visitors.
