“We represent the best of Hawaii’s embracing culinary culture at Fill with made-to-order malasadas, artisan fillings, and house-made, small-batch ice cream.”
Fill brings the Hawaiian spirit to Orange County with its focus on made-to-order malasadas and house-made ice cream. Hawaiian native and Fill founder James Mullis was inspired to bring the “aloha spirit” to Costa Mesa after a lifetime of enjoying the island’s sweet twist on the Portuguese pastry himself.
The bakery’s malasadas are delicate but still doughy with crispy, sugar-coasted exteriors (cane, cinnamon or coconut sugar), and always made with organic and GMO-free ingredients. To match the freshly baked pastries, Fill also offers a selection of small batch ice cream with flavors ranging from brown butter roasted pineapple and POG (pineapple, orange and guava) to roasted black sesame and royal Kona coffee.
